Inside i train on my Kickr v5, with an older roadbike on it.
Outside i ride with my new bike, with a single sided 4iiii precision powermeter.
I sort of calibrated the 4iiii to somewhat allign with the the Kickr, by adjusting the scale factor. At threshold this corresponds quite good, At lower power there are differences, up to 6% higher than the Kickr.
I’m saving up for some rally’s or assiomas, so i can switch the powermeter pedals quick amd easy, and i have dual sided power-readings in- and outside. But there is still some saving to do. So no pwoermeter pedals yet.
What is the best way to train till i have the powermeter pedals?
- Train inside on the Kickr, outside on rpe and heartrate?
- Switch out the 4iiii every time, which is possible, but as a timecrunched cyclist trying to do as much time outside as i can in the summer, it puts some stress on the limited time i have.
- Or leave as is, and adjust my ftp a little downwards to some sort of a middle ground?
All suggestions are appreciated, the less complex and/or time- consuming , the better.
