Interesting. I would think they could create some ML to account for this or offer a survey response option of “Alternate Testing Protocol” or something like that. The ramp test, for example, isn’t classified nor does it appear to change progression levels (in my experience). So having a survey response option to account for alternative testing protocols could just give it the same classification as the ramp test moving forward. At least I would assume that could work?

Not me though. I’ve been waiting since day 1 😥

The addition of new subscribers is deadly slow.

Same here. Subscribed as soon as the form went live.

Ah well, not much to do about it. I’ll keep training the traditional way until I’ll be one of the lucky ones.

We’re adding athletes **randomly** from those who’ve signed up for beta access, and as we continue to work through the major bugs and confusion points that arise, we’ll keep adding groups of athletes in larger and larger increments each week.

You can go back and see your level at previous times. Any workout in that zone should show you what you were at the time / effect it had.

Would be nice to see them graph it when the wrinkles have been worked out though.

I just wish the updates were in one place. I’m ok waiting. Just not a fan of wasting time seeing these updates in multiple threads a few thousand messages from the top.

PLEASE TR team. Keep the updates in one place. Fine if you post in multiple threads wherever but put them all in one thread where only TR Team can place updates and only UPDATES!

There is one dedicated to the “update” idea, but it’s behind on status.

- [Adaptive Training Closed Beta Update](https://www.trainerroad.com/forum/t/adaptive-training-closed-beta-update/54565)

That should be the place with the latest info while this one should be more about use and related discussions.

AFAIK, these are the 2 main threads TR wants used for AT.

I completed an outside workout this morning. When I access the ride and choose to update the survey from the menu there are no choices, it just leads to a blank screen. Is this already a known issue? Also, it didn’t seem to adapt to the ride at all. Every other workout I have done there has been suggested adaptations afterwards; there was nothing mentioned after this one was uploaded.

Post edit: To clarify, I tried on the program (and there was no option as indicated above) and on the iOS app and could not adjust. It did let me complete the post ride survey in the web analysis interface.

Not really though. The workouts I’m getting assigned are in a range of levels and as long as they are below the level, they get tagged at ±0. I don’t see my ‘level at the time’ indicated anywhere nor does it say how much below my level something was.

Sure, they’re tagged as +0, but the first number should be your level at the time. It is for me (in this example I was doing a 5.8 when my level was 6.9).

Will the added endurance workouts have sprints in them? The reason I ask is:

so the ones with sprints might be better but not sure if skynet will factor this in in the adoptions

In addition to what @mcneese.chad shared, the top post of this thread includes updates as they occur. It appears to be updated in line with what @IvyAudrain shares. That’s your best bet for keeping up to date. Note there can be many days between respective updates, and the last gap between updates was around 10 days.

Alternatively, you can use the search function of the forum to search only this thread for Ivy’s posts (or any other user for that matter) and find the latest updates that way.

Lastly, there’s also the [Adaptive Training Known Issues](https://support.trainerroad.com/hc/en-us/articles/360059656131) page that is linked in the OP for all bugs and reports they’re working on.

Some of them do! There are currently quite a few endurance rides with microbursts in the workout catalog and we are indeed adding more. Adaptive Training won’t give you an endurance workout with bursts on a recovery ride between other hard workouts, but you will get them in certain specific instances depending on where in your training you are, and what plan you’re following.

Thanks. By recovery ride I assume you mean like Pettit in mv base? Is it right to assume you don’t have any data to back up that lacking the microbursts helps with recovery, just assuming that? Is there a good way to switch to a microburst version without it looking like I ignored the ride in the pan and just did something else? (I’m not on the beta yet) To me, unless I’m too worn out to do a \>.6 IF endurance ride they usually feel better (but obviously a sample size of 1 that proves nothing)

How about making it easier to find them in Train now? (i.e. when I want to add an extra workout) I was just hitting refresh a bunch of times and not coming up with any microburst versions.

I wonder if TRs large data set shows an advantage to microbursts

I’m not quite sure what our data says on microbursts, but they are easy to find right now! Go to the workout library and select “endurance” for a zone. If you’re on the web, you’ll then see the subcategories for that zone appear, and one will be “with bursts”. If you’re on mobile, you can click the little filter icon to the right of the search bar in the workout tab, and do the same. This will show you all the endurance workouts that include microbursts, so feel free to manually select these on any endurance day.
