Integrated crown race wear and maintenance

Having been using carbon forks with a separate alloy crown race, and am thinking to get a new bike that has a carbon fork with integrated crown race.

Given the cartridge bearings cup directly mates with the integrated race, I wonder if the grit and grime that inevitably get in between the two will wear out the carbon race faster than to a traditional alloy race. In other words, is it more prone to wear hence more frequent inspection and maintenance?
