How do I make my SRAM Rival AXS 1x setup more road friendly?

Howdy y’all. I have a 22’ Diverge Expert with a mix of SRAM Rival AXS ETap and Eagle GX components. The RD is GX Eagle AXS; the cassette is NX 11-50, and the crank is a Rival 1 Wide 40t. The bike does fine off-road but I find myself spinning out on pavement. What chain ring cassette options do I have to make the road portion of my rides more enjoyable? I know I’ll probably need to upgrade to an XD driver, so that’s not an issue.

If you upgrade to XD, I’m a big fan of e13’s 9-46 cassette. The 9T cog means you won’t be spun out with a 40T, and the 46T is probably an easy enough gear. If not they do a 9-50 as well.

I’ve only used the TRS Plus, but the Helix looks nice too.
