HELP - AI prediction is crippling my system (and my motivation) and I can't disable it

Hi All,

The terrible AI FTP prediction beta is constantly re-running the very annoying re-simulation every time I do anything in TR. It is VERY slow and keeps crashing my browser. I thought I had read previously I can just disable the feature, but i cannot find the option anymore? In the little “prediction box a few weeks out, it shows the predicted FTP and a % change, but there is no option to. disable/enable. I also can’t find it in my options.

The featre is truly awful for me so far (second cycle of initial prediction 4 weeks out that then changes every day to prove the initial prediction meaningless. Sigh.)

thanks for any pointers

Click on the prediction and then the little pencil (bottom left if on app/mobile) then you can turn it off if you wish.

THANK YOU James!

Hey @luke22 :slight_smile:

The AI FTP Prediction updates every time you do a workout or move workouts around as it recalculates. But this is not the only thing recalculating; other future workouts update too in the AI Simulation Window when performing workouts or moving things around, so the cause of the slowness/crashing is probably not the AI FTP Prediction.

What device/browser are you using? The AI Sim Window should not be causing your browser to crash. Things we can check for is checking your WiFi connectivity, other open apps that are taking away running power from your device, not enough storage, software updates, battery life, etc…

Hi,

It’s definitely the AI detection being buggy. As soon as I turn that off it goes away. When on, the sim window is always ‘busy’ trying to update and it makes it very boring trying to do anything in TR. I have realised you just have to turn it off when doing anything. I don’t turn it on now anyway because it’s just annoying the way it’s always so inaccurate (I don’t like a prediction for 1 month out that then changes by 50% in the first 3 days of that window when 1 out 30 workouts change slightly - it obviously isn’t logical and it creates anxiety when your progress prediction flaps about so much)

@luke22

Not saying it’s not “definitely the AI detection being buggy” but as asked above…

It actually can be quite helpful in troubleshooting your issue.

I haven’t seen what you’re describing on iPhone (app or Safari browser) or on MacBook Pro (app or Safari, Edge, or Chrome browser) but your experience may be different.
