Has AI FTP Gotten Less Aggressive?

A little bit of context: I have been using the platform since 2020 and have over 500 workouts in the platform. I have exclusively used AI FTP detection and have found that the higher my FTP gets, the smaller the FTP bumps get. I understand that this is expected to some degree, but all year my gains have been small 1-2% gains where last year I would regularly see 5% gains on similar progression levels and amounts of total volume. This year I have had multiple 20 minute efforts that would place my FTP a few watts higher than my next AI Detection would put me.

Has the model changed? Is it playing it safer than it used to? Love the product and have found that AI FTP detection is closer to hour power than any other protocol I have used I am just curious.

N=1 but seems thst way. Wko5=304, intervals.icu=306 and TR 284 this week. I did 21’ @319w as part of a second set of over unders, so it wasn’t a standalone test. I would assume TR would generate something higher than 284 based on that.

@cmc274 - curious to know what app that image is from… Nice way to organize the data.

The image is the activity view from intervals.icu
