hi there

Does anyone know if Garmin Connect calculates VO2Max when the workout is synced from TR to Garmin Connect? Or it is by head units only?

Thanks

I believe it is head unit recordings only. Training effect is zero for TR rides also

It’s leveraging first beat metrics which are headunit only. This is partly why newer metrics like this don’t get back dated. It’s usually nothing to do with the hardware but that Garmin didn’t pay the licence fee for the new metric for the old device.
