Fortnightly Schedule

Hey Guys,

It’s been ages since I’ve used Trainer Road and I wanted to see if I could build a fortnightly schedule with TR based on my availability. For example:

Week 1 -

  • Mon - Can train

    Tues - Can train

    Wed - Can train

    Thurs - Can train

    Fri - Can train

    Sat - Busy

    Sun - Busy

Week 2 -

  • Mon - Can train

    Tues - Can train

    Wed - Can train

    Thurs - Busy

    Fri - Busy

    Sat - Can train

  • Sun - Can train

Can you do this at all?

cheers,

Anthony

I dont think you can do this automatically unfortunately.

In that suituation I think you will have to choose one week then manually drag around the workouts every other week?

Hey @Smithy

There isn’t a way to create a fortnightly schedule with TR, however, you can create a training plan that follows Week 1 schedule and then manually drag and drop on your Calendar Thursday-Friday workouts to Saturday-Sunday on Week 2.

My only concern (if your are trying to train 5 days a week) is volume. Depending on your training history with structured training, it may be wise to start with 4 training day per week. This will also allow for better recovery with a fortnightly schedule.

For example, if you train 5 days a week, and are coming off Week 2, you’d be going straight into the following training week with no recovery. This can cause fatigue and unproductive workouts.

Having 4 workouts per week can allow you to have Sunday’s off on your Week 2, before going back to Week 1 schedule. Hope this makes sense!

The request to be able to build plans that are not locked into the trad 7 day work week often comes up. TR should def do it. How hard can it be, with AI and all…

Just have TR set up a normal plan and then drag and drop it on days you can train. You could go through an entire training plan in about 2 minutes.
