I have decided to go the long and slow route this fall and do the traditional base HV plans. All three of them suggest that it could be a good idea for one reason or the other to add a fifth or even a sixth week to the blocks. How would you go about that? just repeat the last week of the plan or look for +1 +2 etc. modifications? Anybody done this before?

Before you begin you need to be sure that you can fulfill the time commitment 100% (at a minimum!) for the full 3-4 months. Since it’s intensity is static, Trad Base is wholly dependent on volume in order to make it work. If for any reason you don’t think you can do regular 12+ hour weeks, perhaps rethink the strategy.
