I have been using trainer road since September.
FTP increased from 239 to 276. There were workouts where I suffered immensely and others that I quit. It is ok. Apply common sense and adjust accordingly.
Find that workout that you can finish with a challenge an build from there. You will do gr8
Nice work! Glad your training has been going well – keep it up!
TrainerRoad has been the best investment I have made in cycling next to my bike!
I do, I think it is a valuable tool. That said, it is not perfect. The big thing it’s missing, IMO, is an instruction manual, which would be especially handy for newer riders.
Not 100s of hours of podcasts, not dozens of blog posts, or 1000s of forums posts. But a consolidated, condensed instruction manual written by trainerroad, in the app itself, with the goal of walking a person through the best way to use trainerroad. Wouldnt take much…5-10 pages would cover all of the basics, and be able to point out the typical pitfalls of the training plans and how to avoid them.
I do, and I think the main reason I switched over was the podcast.
