I’m in the data geek heaven position of being able to compare my base plan workouts this year against last years as I’m in the 5th week of SSBHV I. I’ve noticed a discrepancy with Galena +3 though. With the 2017 Galena +3 the 20min blocks get progressively harder then a bit easier on the last one. This is similar to Galena.
The one I have planned for this Sunday has 4 20 minute blocks all at the same power.
Any explanation? Quite happy with the new version if it is a new version
Yeah they’ve made tweaks to the Mid and Low plans, but they’ve specifically said that the High Vol plan hasn’t changed. Galena +3 does look changed however, which is a HV workout.
Could be, think it was an oversight of whoever said the HV plans were untouched when I asked on this forum recently. One of the mods or leader type guys that posts a lot.
Just noticed Wright Peak -1 has also been changed to make it easier too. First interval has a one minute break as normal, but now the second two intervals have two breaks of 30secs, which is mentally a lot easier to deal with. Definitely wasn’t like this last year.
They’ve done good with these changes, glad HV has seen some love. Going to take a look through High Vol II later and see I spot anything else.
It must have been, because I look at my scheduled workouts, it gives a TSS of 143 for Galena +3, but when I click through the workout itself it is actually a TSS of 137. Not a big difference, but definitely looks like an update.
