Hello,

I thought I could just swap out my quarq xx1 cranks from my boost hardtail to my boost trail bike but it looks like it’s “dubwide”. Then I thought…just move the spider over but the bolt pattern is different.

What are my options here? Garmin pedals? Or is there a way to get a crank based powermeter on the trail bike? The cranks are truvative descendant fwiw. Thanks guys!

Joe

Power2Max NGeco fits on3-bolt SRAM crankarms. They use 4-bolt chainrings. That still is less $ than the Garmin pedals.
P2M are easy to setup and are a solid option.

Sigeyi AXO is a good option too. Costs less than Power2Max and is lighter, also very accurate. AXO is rechargeable, P2M uses coin cell battery (with a battery door that isn’t super secure but hasn’t been an issue for me personally). I have both and they’re both excellent.

I had the same question as I have the low end SRAM crankset. So does Stages not have a compatible power meter?

Any issues with oval chainrings on this power meter?

I don’t think so but I can’t speak from personal experience on this.

I ended going with the power2max for $590, it’s a little more than stages but you get two sided power…which has to be better than one sided, right? I had a 1st gen stages XT crank arm, it worked perfectly so I like them…it’s just that I wanted two sides. And sometimes I might want to go flat pedals…so the super expensive garmin pedals weren’t at the top of my list.

I’m pretty sure power2max has a powermeter spider for you. Mine is a 3 bolt and they have one for it but I think they have the 6 bolt too.

Thanks! Reading up on the options. I’m assuming you had it delivered to US- what was the lead time?

Also what computer are you using, Wahoo or Garmin?

Wow that’s awesome! Didn’t realize they had a US distributor. I’m in Seattle so turnaround should be quick. And I also have a 530.

Winter training stoke levels just went up a few notches high! Thanks.

That makes perfect sense…consistency between bikes.
