Has anyone found a great way to clean old, dry tire sealant off of your frame without causing any damage? I have had unfortunate luck with punctures this spring and have built up some serious mess on my frame that I can’t seem to get off. Any insight would be great. Thank you.
I don’t have much experience with different brands but Muc-off has worked well for me.
I have had decent luck using warm water with a little dish soap and a microfiber cloth for dried sealant. For stubborn spots, letting the area soak for a few minutes before gently rubbing usually helps. Just be careful with stronger solvents, especially on painted or carbon frames. Curious to hear what methods others have found most effective.
