Great question: I’ve got a 100 mile MTB race in a couple months. One week later is road state champs. I wish there was one or two more weeks in between.
I’m planning a couple days of nothing but relaxing , then a day or two of z2, then very short openers.
Me, I have to do a 1 hour recovery ride the next day. If not I’m sore and out of it for about a week.
