Adding RSS from Stryd

Since TrainerRoad can estimate TSS based on a run, it would be wonderful to integrate with Stryd to get a direct read of RSS (running stress score) to use as an automatic input. Stryd’s calculation is much less subjective and could be applied directly (or adjusted algorithmically, not sure if TSS equates directly to RSS) and inform my cycling training when I cross train

You don’t want to mix and match. Not only have all the various “progeny” of my TSS been created by different people using different approaches, at the end of the day cycling, running, swimming, etc., are different sports resulting in different physiological demands. It is therefore essentially impossible to cogently equate them based on the applied stress. Subjective (and therefore more variable though it might be), Foster’s session RPE (or some other strain-based metric) would be a better option.

You don’t even need Stryd’s calculation, if you know the CP for running you can calculate TSS directly, as TR already reads the power track.

And yes it would be nice to not have to manually fill this in each time.

Even in cycling not all TSS is created equal, yet we still find it valuable to measure total training load.

I find it very useful to mix and match all sports, so I strongly disagree with your assertion. Note that RPE based TSS estimation is already offered, but it shows broken values by default because the RPE/TSS in the running plans is mismatched with the actual workouts and has been for years.
