I’m confused about some behaviour of AT and wonder if this is intentional.

Currently on a build FTP plan, AT is creating workouts for me as normal and I’m going through them. However, the workout level numbers change from what is in the plan before I execute them to after.

For example, this week AT scheduled Hubbard which is a VO2 3.6 in the database. I thought this was a bit strange as last week my plan says I completed a VO2 3.9 workout. However, after I completed the workout, it shows as VO2 4.0 on my calendar.

Any clues why it is showing up like this?

Post-ride it’s reporting what you actually did, so I guess you exceeded the power targets. 👍

Thanks for reply. No, I’m on ERG mode on the trainer - the power targets are exactly as prescribed.

Even in ERG mode, trainers rarely hold exactly perfect power. It’s very common to see small undulations above and below target, even as your interval power averages out right to your prescribed goal. This is very likely what is happening here—I bet if you zoom in on those VO2 max intervals, you probably spent some time a few watts above target here and there during your workout, earning you a little more credit!
