Pedal Body Stack Height?
Of the pedal bodies that work with our Favero Assioma’s which ones allow for the lowest stack height? I’ve been happy with iSSi Flash 3s for several years but I’d like to lower the pedal interface stack height if possible, even by just a few mms. Thanks.
Edit - Looked at several of the posted pictures on this thead and it looks like the Baldwins have a lower stack height than the iSSi Flash 3s. Cany anyone confirm
Bought and installed the Baldwin bodies. They are about 5 gms heavier per pedal than iSSi Falsh IIIs. The Baldwins have 2mm less stack per side than the Flash IIIs (19 mm compared to 23mm in total).
I did this conversion when this thread first appeared, shortly after GPLama posted his conversion video. I have beat the older Assioma pedals on rock and roots, ran them through puddles and storms, and recently completed Unbound (Mudbound) 100. This week they finally stopped broadcasting power data to my Garmin. They are showing connected but no power readings. I have a support ticket into the company but have very little hope they will be able to resuscitate the pedals. If not should I buy the new No Pod version or simply get a quarq power meter?
I’m running the Pod Duos with the Xpedo SPD bodies on my gravel bike, but I got a spider PM for the mtb. When my Duos die (they’re 7.5 years old) I’ll likely get another set for road/gravel, but I’ll stick with spiders for mtbs. .
Hello Favero Assioma users. My left pedal body developer a gap after 7 years od use and one bearing set change. Are pedal bodies the same as Xpedo NXS, can I replace then directly? They are 30% cheaper than Favero set. ![]()
They look compatible to me ![]()
They look the same but they are not identical - body shape slightly different.
Reviews are mixed though… could be that Xpedo use cheaper materials on these than on the Favero ones. Springs look silver for example and reviewers mention weak engagement - which isn’t an issue regularly mentioned with the Favero bodies.
