Rocket Ron 27.5 x 2.8 tire: is a 30mm inner rim too narrow for a 60kg rider? This is for use as a front wheel (not rear). Thinking that a 35mm inner would be optimal for overall traction and less “bulb” shape when mounted. Budget prompts the 30mm rather than 35 as they are more readily available as orphan wheels.

[According to WTB](https://www.wtb.com/pages/tire-rim-fit-chart?srsltid=AfmBOorWv6UkeYg3Q-5hqdGncfqz-eq2rsV22aOfes9c0kJWN0lLfmGa#), you could run a 2.8 on a 25mm rim. 🤷

35-45 is optimal, though..

I’ve run 29x3s on 30mm rims and had zero issue, even at ridiculously low pressures.
