When you&#8217;re training on the road or indoors, ANT+ is the key component responsible for transmitting your fitness data.<\/p>\n<p>ANT+ FE-C is a new and improved version of their wireless protocol geared specifically toward\u00a0trainers and indoor-cycling bikes. Now, hardware companies have a\u00a0standardized open protocol\u00a0that they can use\u00a0to communicate with software like TrainerRoad.<\/p>\n<h2>Tacx Trainer Support<\/h2>\n<p>As a result of ANT+ launching FE-C, <a href=\"http:\/\/support.trainerroad.com\/hc\/en-us\/articles\/204611274-ANT-FE-C-Trainers\">Tacx trainer owners can now\u00a0use TrainerRoad<\/a> to control the resistance of their trainers &#8212; something you&#8217;ve never been able to do before. With this new feature, owner&#8217;s of the following trainers can now use their\u00a0devices to their full potential:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Vortex Smart (Model Number:\u00a0T2180)<\/li>\n<li>Vortex Smart TDF (Model Number: T2380)<\/li>\n<li>Bushido Smart (Model Number: T2780)<\/li>\n<li>Bushido Smart TDF (Model Number: T2300)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>If you have a Tacx trainer that outputs power, cadence or speed data, TrainerRoad will\u00a0be able to pick that up too.<\/p>\n<h2>Upcoming Devices<\/h2>\n<p>FE-C is the new industry standard for upcoming\u00a0ANT+ enabled electronic trainers and spin bikes.
